Who We Are

Harrisonburg Department of Public Transportation (HDPT) provides fixed-route bus service in the City of Harrisonburg. HDPT fixed route buses have features such as wheelchair lifts, kneeling features, low-floor buses, and voice announcements of stops.

Harrisonburg Paratransit is a specialized public transportation service that operates within the City of Harrisonburg for persons who have disabilities as described in the Americans with Disabilities Act. Wheelchair-accessible vehicle service is offered for trips within the City of Harrisonburg.  All persons who use this service must be issued a paratransit card.  Applications are available in the Public Transit office located at 475 E. Washington Street. You may request an application through the mail by contacting Cheryl Spain or download the application.

Lost and Found items recovered by the driver are taken to the HDPT Office at 475 East Washington Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
