People with disabilities who have a valid Metro Disability Identification Card or Seniors with a Senior SmarTrip card may ride for half the peak fare on Metrobus, Metrorail, and other transit agencies. Metro will issue visitors a one-time courtesy Metro Disability Identification Card good for up to one month. The Metro Disability Identification Card application is available on the website or by email from eligibility@wmata.com.
Customers with Senior SmarTrip or Reduced Fare Photo ID, qualify for reduced fares. Older adults may ride for half the peak fare on Metrorail, for $1 on regular Metrobus routes, and for a discounted fare on other participating bus service providers.
