Martha Jefferson House offers independent retirement living for seniors in The Perry Wing. Martha Jefferson House is a private, non-profit care facility offering one or two bedrooms, all with full kitchens and rent is on a month to month basis. Monthly fee includes three meals per day, housekeeping, security, transportation, cable TV, parking, all utilities except phone; personal laundry extra per month. Professionals on staff are RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Resident must be ambulatory. An entry fee equal to one month's rent is payable at the time of occupancy.
There is a waiting list. The wait time depends on the type of accommodation desired, with a range of 90 to 180 days. There is a $100 application fee to be placed on the wait list and that sum is applied against the residence fee (which is one month's rent) at the time of entry (otherwise non-refundable).
Organization has available a trust that supports residents up to 100% of the monthly fee if their financial situation should require it.
