Who We Are

The Westmoreland County Department of Social Services is responsible for administering federal and state public assistance programs at the local level. These programs are intended to provide timely, temporary financial support benefits to families in time of need.

Some programs available are adult services, adult protective services, child care assistance, child protective services, daycare provider information, energy assistance program, food stamps, general relief, state and local hospitalization, Cardinal Care Medicaid eligibility, Temporary Assistant for Needy Families (TANF), and financial assistance.
