Who We Are

VCU Community Memorial Hospital Hospice is a patient advocate program that assists patients with a limited life expectancy to remain in the home. It is a comprehensive approach that focuses on palliative care, not curative, which emphasized pain management and symptom control. The interdisciplinary team approach is utilized. A skilled assessment is completed within 48 hours of referral or discharge from hospital. 

Services include: skilled nursing, nursing assistants, medical social worker, chaplain, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, volunteers, nutritional and pharmacy consults, bereavement services, adult and children's support groups, respite care, acute care, continuous care services also available.

Must reside in Brunswick, Lunenburg, Mecklenburg or southern Nottoway Counties.
