Who We Are
The Alzheimer's Association, National Capital Area, is here to help the estimated 500,000 people impacted by Alzheimer's disease, including those diagnosed, their families and caregivers, in Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland and Washington DC. This Chapter is the region's primary support network and information resource for Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. From the first signs of memory loss through diagnosis and throughout the disease's progression, our organization has programs and services available to help, including a toll free Helpline (800-272-3900), support groups, educational and community outreach activities, the Safe Return Program, advocacy efforts and more.
Community education programs cover wide range of topics relative to dementia and Alzheimer's.
