Who We Are
Lynchburg Police Crime Prevention department is responsible for establishing and maintaining programs related to preventing crimes, such as Neighborhood Watch, Business Watch, School Resource Officers and Community Policing. Personnel of the Crime Prevention Unit serve as liaison between the Lynchburg Police Department and the community. Programs include: self-protection for women and senior citizens; drug awareness; bicycle safety; firearms safety; neighborhood watch; home and business security surveys; shoplifting seminars; Ride-A-Long and question and answer sessions.
