Heartland Hospice in Virginia Beach

Heartland Hospice Care provides hospice services, specializing in symptom and pain management for individuals who have a life limiting illness.  The hospice team works with the patient and his/her family to provide a comprehensive program of psychosocial and spiritual support, medications, therapies, patient and family education, comforting treatments, equipment and supplies and bereavement services. 

The special bereavement programs provide emotional support to patients and families who need it.  Social workers and spiritual counselors create a comforting environment in which patients and families are able to share their thoughts, hopes and concerns.

Care is provided to patients who reside in private homes, group homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes and continuing care retirement communities.   Heartland will contact your physician to ensure that you are eligible for the hospice benefit.
