TRIAD

Shenandoah County Sheriff's office participates in TRIAD and the SALT (Seniors and Law Enforcement together). The Sheriff's Office works hand in hand with several agencies to help area seniors have a safer and better life. Deputy Steve Bowers is the representative from the Sheriff's Office that oversees regular meetings and organizes event and our annual conference. Department of social service is the other key player along with SMH social workers and Kathy Neese-Hepner Adult protective services coordinator. 

 A major purpose of Triad is to develop, expand and implement effective crime prevention and education programs for older Virginians.  Triad works to improve the quality of life for seniors by providing an active exchange of information between local law enforcement and seniors.
