Emergency Home Repair

Mountain Community Action Program's (Mountain CAP) Emergency Home Repair Program in Bland, Smyth and Wythe Counties improves housing conditions and opportunities for low and very low-income Virginians. The program provides funds to remove imminent health and safety hazards, and/or barriers to habitability in their homes.

Eligible repairs can include plumbing, structural, electrical, roofing, wheelchair ramps, and handicapped accessible appliances.  Labor and some materials are provided to rehabilitate homes not in compliance with health and safety standards.

Services may include the repair of roofs, floors, building of ramps and porches, heating system repair, structural repair and the installation of windows and doors.
