TRIAD

The Appomattox County Sheriff's Office participates in TRIAD by implementing activities designed to reduce the level of criminal victimization as it impacts senior citizens. Appomattox County Sheriff's Office is part of a TRIAD partnership with senior citizens of Appomattox County to respond to senior citizen safety issues, to reduce the criminal victimization of the elderly and enhance the delivery of law enforcement services to older citizens. The major purpose of TRIAD is to develop, expand and implement effective crime prevention and education programs for the older community members. The programs offer an opportunity for the exchange of information between law enforcement and older persons.

TRIAD meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday on the month at the Appomattox Community Center to address law enforcement needs of seniors in the county.
