Victim/Witness Assistance

Bedford County Commonwealth Attorney provides a Victim/Witness program.  The program offers immediate and direct support and assistance to crime victims, their families and witnesses. The Commonwealth's Attorney represents the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia and Bedford County in the prosecution of criminal laws. The Commonwealth's Attorney is a Constitutional officer elected to a four-year term.

It helps ensure that victims of crimes receive fair and compassionate treatment while participating in the criminal justice program.
