Victim/Witness Assistance

Lynchburg Commonwealth Attorney offers the Victim/Witness program.  The Victim/Witness program helps to insure that crime victims and witnesses receive fair and compassionate treatment while participating in the criminal justice system. The staff will help understand the criminal justice system and provide information and referrals for community services.

The staff can answer questions about the role of a witness, help find someone for child care while you are in court; assist with preparation of the Victim Impact Statement or completing a Victim's Compensation request and more.
