Career Planning and Job Search

The Joint Base Langley-Eustis Airman and Family Readiness (A&FRC) Center offers Employment Services.
The Career Focus Program assists active-duty military members, retirees, Guard Reserve, Department of Defense Civilians and their eligible family members to prepare for job searching by offering proactive career planning, job search skill development and networks for employment opportunities. Several automated job listings are available in the A&FRC library, as well as information and job listings for federal, state, city and private employment opportunities.

An orientation to the resource library is the first step in seeking employment in the area. Employment workshops are offered covering topics such as resume writing, interviewing techniques, self-assessment and other topics appropriate for job seekers. Job fairs are an integral part of the employment program. Several are held each year in the local area.

The Discovery Resource Center offers access to personal computers, laser printers, internet, and informational handouts for all program areas.
