Continuing Care Retirement Community
Atlantic Shores Retirement Community, Inc.
Who We Are
Atlantic Shores is a continuing care retirement community. Retirement living is available to individuals age 55 and over including homeownership of a cooperative interest with an array of personal services and on-site health care and wellness center. In the case of married couples, only one of the partners needs to be 55. Two qualified unrelated persons may purchase a cooperative interest and share an apartment or villa residence at Atlantic Shores also. As a rule of thumb, monthly income should be at least one and one-half to two times the monthly service fee for the villa or apartment selected, after purchasing the cooperative interest.
Applicant must also be covered by Medicare, Part A, and B and have a supplemental health insurance policy to cover medical and hospitalization expenses. Although Atlantic Shores does not require it, a long-term care insurance policy to cover the cost of assisted living or nursing care beyond the ninety-day benefit provided to residents is strongly recommended. A parent, adult child or sibling may reside with the resident if the monthly service fee for an additional person is paid. No more than two persons may permanently occupy a one-bedroom residence; no more than three persons may permanently occupy a two-bedroom or larger residence.
Continuing care services available are Assisted Living community (Harbourway) with 53 apartments at Atlantic Shores; rehabilitation services long term nursing care and hospice care in Seaside Health Center.
