Who We Are

Grandparents as Parents and Relatives as Parents Support Groups (GAP and RAP) are free support groups for grandparents and relatives raising their grandchildren or the children of other relatives. Currently, groups are offered at Norfolk Public Schools.

The GAP program is a great place for grandparents or kinfolk who have guardianship of a child can come for support. Meetings are once a month with the adults on the 3rd Wednesday at 10:30 am at the Norfolk location. Every meeting is different and can range from speakers, arts and crafts, music, etc. Light food and beverages are provided.

The program also offers diapers, wipes, and clothing for children's sizes, premie to 5 T.

Clients are also able to meet with the Parent Support Mentor one-on-one to discuss other things they might need resources for, such as financial, housing,  mental counseling, and more.

To sign up for the support group, clients would just need to fill out an intake form. Please call for more information.
