Who We Are
At Sentara RMH Funkhouser Women's Center, The Image Recovery is an appearance enhancement service designed to help patients deal with the effects of treatment for cancer., namely, scarring, skin changes, hair loss, etc. Purpose is to normalize patient's appearance in order to improve the quality of life while undergoing treatment and recovery from cancer and other illnesses.
Services and provides include: appearance consultation; pre- and post-surgical mastectomy products such as breast forms, bras and swimwear; supplies for Lymph edema; lingerie for post mastectomy clients; hair replacements; hats; tubas other head wear; and skin care, nail and oral care products naturally formulated for cancer patients. Clinical manicures and pedicures, facials, massage therapy and hair care services are also offered.
