Who We Are
The Alzheimer's Association, Central and Western Virginia Chapter - Charlottesville area, sponsors support groups throughout the Chapter service area to provide education, information, and support for family members and other caregivers. Groups offer family caregivers an opportunity to learn about issues relating to Alzheimer's and to share personal experiences and coping skills.
The Caregiver support group meets at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1500 East Rio Road, in Charlottesville from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM every Tuesday. Contact Dawn Rigney, the facilitator, at 434-960-0531 for more information.

The Early-Stage Memory Loss Support Group provides an opportunity for individuals to receive information about the disease, to socialize with peers who face similar circumstances, and to talk about their experiences.
