Who We Are

Haven is a nonprofit, nonsectarian community organization of trained volunteers that offers emotional support to the bereaved, the seriously ill, the dying and to their families and friends. Haven also provides education to the community about the needs of those who are grieving.  

Individual Support is available.  An opportunity to speak one-to-one with a trained volunteer about your grief.

Haven also offers support on a walk-in basis. Anyone wanting to talk to a volunteer is invited to "drop into" Haven without an appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:30 am and 1:00 pm.

A variety of support groups are held, including Six-week Widow/Widower Bereavement Support Group: death of a spouse; Six-week Suicide Survivors Support Group - Loved one died by suicide;  and Six-week General Bereavement - Death of a parent, child, relative or friend.

Intake Process
Call the office for information. Pre-registration is required. participants must be able to attend all sessions in the 6 week support groups.
