Who We Are

The Manassas National Battlefield Park with over 5000 acres of meadows, woodlands and streams, was established in 1940 to preserve the sites of the First and Second Battles of Manassas. The Park has been selected as an Audubon Important Bird Area because of the Park's quality grasslands and numerous bird species. To date 168 species have been documented within the park.

Park open sunrise to sunset daily year-round, closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Visitor Center open: Summer 8:30AM-6PM, Winter 8:30AM-5PM. Park grounds feature picnicking, bridle and hiking trails, 1 mile self-guided walking trail on historic Henry Hill with signs and audio stations relaying story of "First Battle of Manassas". Offers a driving tour of "Second Battle of Manassas".

Not convenient to a bus. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash at all times. Audio-visual programs are closed-captioned for the hearing impaired.
